A common criticism of NFT’s is their potential negative effect on the environment. While Solana is one of the most environmentally friendly chains, a transaction on-chain uses approximately the same amount of energy as 1.5 Google searches, it is still our responsibility to be good stewards of the natural world we have inherited. To help in that effort, Yaku launched the YakuSugi initiative to help with reforestation.
